Who We Are!

Here are two of the most incredible females in the world, Chelsea (left) and Chaela (obviously right) Jean. This picture is from a few weeks ago when they won the Illinois State Senior Bible Quizzing Tournament. They will now move on to the national tournament in North Carolina in August. They have memorized over 500 verses this year, and have been the state champions in Illinois since they were in Junior Bible Quizzing. Last year, at the national tournament, they placed 5th in the nation! How smart these two are...can you tell, I'm a proud papa! They will be attending Eureka College this fall with a full ride and mentorships included. What a blessing. I will have to tell you about that later...the miracle of the scholarship.

Here's the proud mama and papa. Calvin and Cheryl Jean...married September 21, 1984...that's right, 23 years ago. Pray for us, because when the twins go off to college, we will immediately have the "empty nest" thing going on.

New Blogger

Well, I have officially entered the world of the "bloggers". My, my life seems to be even more complete as I type. I thought I would catch up with this generation a least in this fashion. I don't know how diligent I will be with this blog thing...but, we shall see. I will share my thoughts, my musings, and my online life journal with you all, I guess. I never received any instruction on what a blog was supposed to be...so you will all experience the transformation with me. My, I am sounding like an old crusted senior citizen! It's not quite that bad, but it is all quite new to me. On the home front...Chelsea, my daughter, will be having major knee surgery on Thursday. This is to repair the damage done during a youth "Ultimate Frisbee" event. On Monday, Chaela and I will journey to Atlanta Georgia for Georgia District Campmeeting.
